Announcing a free weekly VR Therapy Peer Consultation GroupJan 18, 2022
SVRT.org is launching a free weekly VR Therapy Peer Consultation Group which provides online case consultation with Dr. McMahon designed to broaden professional knowledge and expertise and directly inform the work of mental health professionals. This free group should meet continued professional development (CPD) requirements for psychologists in California and other states.
Starting in February, this group will replace the Peer Support Webinars included as part of the Needle Phobia Training Program. Cases discussed in this new group may include all uses of virtual reality for therapy, not just needle phobia or anxiety disorders.
Participation is open to all licensed mental health professionals and supervised trainees, not just those who are taking our free Needle Phobia Training Program.
Group meetings will be held via Zoom on alternating Thursdays and Saturdays. Advanced registration is required for each meeting.
Signup is a two-step process:
- Enroll for the webinar series so you can be notified of scheduled sessions: click here.
- Sign-up for specific sessions that fit your schedule and receive a Zoom link for the group meeting. Registration at least 24 hours in advance is required, attendance at each session is limited, first come, first serve.
Peer Consultation Group members will also be enrolled in our VR Therapists Community.
