Experimental Economics Research at HP’s Information Services and Process Innovation Lab

Summary:
Dr. Chen is a principal scientist in the Information Services and Process Innovation Laboratory at Hewlett-Packard. He joined HP Labs in 1994 after receiving his Ph.D. in economics from Caltech. His undergraduate degree is in physics. Dr. Chen’s primary research interests are experimental economics, applied game theory and information economics. When comparing physics and economics, he finds that, "The experimental methods are similar. The only difference is that the 'atoms' I study have minds of their own."
